Here at Apex Endodontics, we are committed to providing our patients with the best care and preparation for treatment.

Here are some things to consider before your endodontic procedure:

Continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid or other conditions as recommended by your physician. If you have any questions regarding your medications, please call our office prior to your appointment.

If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to use antibiotic premedication, please make sure you are on the appropriate antibiotic on the day of your appointment. Call the office prior to your appointment if you have any questions or concerns.

If you are able to take ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve), it does help reduce inflammation when taken preoperatively. Take 2 tables 2-4 hours before your endodontic treatment.

Because a local anesthesia is used, there are usually no restrictions to driving or returning to work after the procedure. Should a problem arise after your treatment, a doctor is available at all times for consultation.

If you have any questions about preparing for an endodontic treatment, don’t hesitate to contact us today at (281) 655-0603.
